Peningkatan Kemampuan Daya Ingat Anak Slow Learner Melalui Terapi Kognitif Pada Anak Sekolah Dasar

Abstract

This study aims to examine the ability of memory enhancement through cognitive therapy in slow learner at elementary school students. The research was conducted in SD Karanganyar 1 Demak as primary organizer of Inclusion. The sample in this study were students who fall into this category of children with special needs children are categorized as a slow learner (slow learner). The sample in this study amounted to 19 students. This research uses experimental research by providing treatment to students through cognitive therapy using one group pre test-post test design.
Data processing results show t coefficient of 2.535 with  p = 0.021 (p <0.05). It is also indicated by the mean difference in both the average post-test data memory skills of elementary school for slow learner students at 19.11 higher than average with pre test data memory skills of elementary school students a slow learner at 16.47. These results indicate that there is a significant difference between pre test and post test of the ability of memory slow learner child in elementary school students before and after treatment with cognitive therapy. Based on the results of data analysis showed no differences in the ability of memory before and after treatment of cognitive therapy in children slow learner, in which the child's ability to recall the slow learner is given higher after treatment than before treatment is given.
