Abstract

The purpose of the research is to is to empirically examine the correlation between peer conformity and self-concept and cheating intention of high school students. The sampling technique is cluster random sampling. Measuring tool for obtaining data is peer conformity behavior scale, self-concept scale and cheating intention of high school students scale.
The results of data analysis using Two Predictors Analisis Regression using SPSS computer program 15.0 for windows. The correlation coefficient of the three variables of rx1,2y is 0.503 with the p significance level of 0.001 (p <0.01). The major hypothesis states that there is a significant negative correlation between conformity & self-concept peers and the cheating intention of high school students.
The higher of peer conformity and self-concept then the lower of the cheating intention of high school students. On the contrary, the lower of peer conformity and self-concept, then the higher of the cheating intention of high school students. So the major hypotheses is accepted. The effective contribution of peer conformity variables and self-concept to cheating intention of high school students is 25.3%.
